Amar has over 20 years of professional experience gained in the UK and Australia working in both industry and public practice. Prior to joining MGI Perth, Amar was a director with a Big Four accounting firm in Perth.

Amar audits and provides accounting advice to clients ranging from listed groups to family-owned businesses and not-for-profit organisations in sectors such as energy and natural resources, property and construction, engineering services, private equity, aged care and state government.

He has considerable experience in hedge accounting and has advised a number of organisations in this area, including some of WA’s largest listed companies, state government bodies and entities in the energy and natural resources sector.

Amar also provided training on IFRS topics on behalf of CPA Australia, The Property Council of Australia, Chartered Secretaries of Australia, the National Insitute of Accountants and The Finance and Treasury Association, as well as providing in-house training courses for Woodside and Wesfarmers.
